Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly motivated Research Intern to join our team remotely. This position is ideal for final-year undergraduate students passionate about artificial intelligence, machine learning, and ethical AI development tailored to Africa’s unique needs. The intern will work on cutting-edge AI research, contributing to projects that enhance fairness, transparency, and inclusivity in AI systems.

Qualifications:

Final-year undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
Must be enrolled in or have graduated from an African institution.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work remotely within the USA Central Time Zone.
Basic experience with AI, machine learning, or data science is a plus.

Responsibilities:

Support AI research projects aimed at solving African-centric challenges.
Assist in data collection, cleaning, and analysis to inform AI model development.
Contribute to the development of responsible AI frameworks for African contexts.
Work with interdisciplinary teams to ensure AI solutions are culturally relevant and ethically sound.
Help prepare reports, presentations, and research publications based on findings.
